Columbus, OH (PRWEB) March 13, 2013
The United Shippers Alliance, a shippers association comprised of over 150 shipper-members across the country, announced the release of iRate 2.0 to its membership. iRate RMS provides seamless access to the entire global database of ocean container rates for every United Shippers Alliance ocean shipping member. iRate was developed by (ampl)EGO, that has entered into a partnership with the United Shippers Alliance to deliver iRate to the Alliance’s members.
By delivering fast and accurate ocean rate search results through a secure, cloud-based transportation rate management system iRate, allows United Shippers Alliance ocean shipping members to easily and efficiently manage their ocean contracts and quotes across all of their ocean carriers and all of their international trade lanes. iRate enables ocean shippers to quickly determine the exact ocean transportation cost, thereby accurately quoting export and import shipments to prospective customers. It also allows shippers to easily compare available ocean carrier options for a given shipping lane and select the lowest cost ocean transportation alternative.
The United Shippers Alliance ocean shippers view iRate as a streamlined and intuitive online system for researching their full container ocean freight rates, accessing key contract fees and details, and comparing options across multiple carriers and contracts quickly and efficiently.
“I love the iRate program,” said Paula Hammac, Export Manager for Franklin International. “In our fast-paced business where we are shipping ocean containers to customers around the globe, we need a fast, efficient way to access our numerous ocean contracts and associated rates. With iRate, my ocean rates to every destination are at my fingertips, just a few clicks away and it is so user friendly.”
